Purton residents have their first cash-point four years after the closure of the village bank.
The device will save many residents a trip to either Cricklade or Wootton Bassett to the nearest bank.
The Link cash machine has been installed by the owners of the Spa, at Lower Square. Ironically, part of the building occupied by the store used to be the bank. It now houses the Old Bank Bakery.
Store owner Jenny Smith said the cash machine has already proved popular with customers.
