IN AN interview on Wiltshire Sound, the MP for North Swindon, Mr Wills, spoke about the PFI scheme for school building in North Swindon and how the Government had done Swindon proud.
He didn't explain why the taxpayers of the borough are having to pay for the schools to be built. He didn't explain how much our council tax will go up by next year. He didn't explain why those in West Swindon should have to pay, when they can't even get their own children into a local school.
More to the point, he didn't mention the speech yesterday by Mr Byers, who told the House of Commons he was doing a U-turn, and spending £300m of taxpayers money to get out of his Railtrack fiasco, and save his own political neck.
This amount of money would have built the schools in North Swindon, and at least one more in West Swindon. I hope the voters remember this next election time.
