The Asda branch at West Swindon is to abolish its 24-hour service after Easter. The store has reported a decline in overnight trading of up to 50 per cent since the Asda Wal-Mart superstore opened in Haydon Wick in November.
Bosses have decided to end the service although the store will remain open until 10pm during the week. There will be no impact on employees' jobs.
