Premier Division Stratton Crosslink kept up their push for the runners-up spot with a 4-1 away victory over Bradford Town.
Crosslink's top marksman Gerry Wright opened the scoring on 20 minutes and added a second from the penalty spot five minutes later, after a Bradford player was sent off for a professional foul.
After the interval, Crosslink boss Albert Deering brought on Steve Shaw, and the move paid off, Shaw scoring two further goals with Rick King netting a consolation.
Marlborough Town and Purton were level on two goals apiece at half- time, but a second-half onslaught by the visitors gave them a 5-2 victory. Rob Simpson and Wayne Presley scored for the Town, and Michael Solen (2), Johnny Coole, Jimmy Wright and Rob Smith for Purton.
Wroughton, also with an eye on the runners-up spot, beat Cricklade Town by three goals to one.
Wroughton took the lead on ten minutes, Vince Goodenough heading in a good cross from Sean Clarke.
The visitors then levelled the scores just before the break with a good diving header by Tranter.
Stuart Phillips regained the lead for Wroughton soon after the restart, then Tom Dingle set off on a fine run shrugging aside four or five tackles before slotting past the keeper.
Westbury United and Pewsey Vale both failed to find the net in a dire no-score draw at Westbury.
Shrewton United and Biddestone are through to the final of the League Addkey Senior Cup after semi-final victories over Devizes Town Reserves and Melksham Reserves.
The Premier leaders were forced to fight every inch of the way for their victory in a penalty shoot-out after both sides had failed to score after extra time.
Chances were very few in the tie. United keeper Adam Burwell made a good second-half save to keep the score blank, and Shrewton's Rick Casey had a good effort hit the post.
Keeper Burwell then became the Shrewton hero, stopping a Devizes penalty, and Stuart Mulford then converted Shrewton's fifth penalty to put them into the final by 5-4.
Biddestone have recovered well from their recent lean spell, and did well to beat Melksham Town Reserves 3-0 in the other semi-final.
Biddestone got off to a great start, Spencer Clifford netting with a cross shot after just three minutes play. Melksham fought back and looked to have equalised shortly after but the strike was disallowed.
Second-half hero for Biddestone was Josh Jefferies who came off the bench to score twice, the first from a good cross by Steve Healy and the second a left foot volley from 25 yards.
In the top-table clash in the Intermediate section, Dunbar Westside and Blunsdon United shared the points in a 0-0 draw.
Stratton Crosslink, also hoping to take part in the final run-in for the title, failed to take advantage of the leaders dropped points when they were surprisingly beaten at home by bottom club Calne Reserves 2-1, Dean Slade and Robbie Fry giving the visitors a 2-0 lead, Martin Dunn scoring a late consolation for Crosslink.
Castrol gained a 4-1 away success at Biddestone, thanks to goals from, Ian McCarthy (2), Nick Camden and Nick Kemmett, and Wanborough and Down Ampney shared the points in a one-all draw, Ian Humphreys for Ampney and Gary O'Donnell from the penalty spot for United.
Unbeaten Wootton Bassett United notched up their 20th successive league win in the Junior Division, beating Castrol Reserves 3-2.
In a hectic afternoon for Bassett, the ref failed to appear, so a quick call from manager Kenny Reagan to the Stratton Crosslink ground secured the services of Phil Leggett, who was the referee's assistant at the Premier Division game. Phil dashed to Broome Manor and received praise from both sides for his handling of the game.
Worse was to follow as Bassett were two goals down at the break from strikes from Castrol's Mike Giddings and Paul Aust. However, after the break, they fought back to win 3-2, courtesy of Gary Loveday hat-trick.
Bottom club West Swindon did well to beat fifth-placed Ferndale Rodbourne 2-1, despite having 10 men for all of the game. After a goalless first half Dave Pickering equalised after Ferndale had gone ahead, and Errol Dyer scored the winner five minutes from time.
Goals from Kevin Smith (2) and Billy Elliott gave Blunsdon Reserves a 3-1 win over Wootton Bassett A, and Phil Greenwood, Paul Dolphin and an own goal helped Down Ampney to a 3-0 win over Aldbourne.
Two goals from Sporting HKQ's Simon Pugh failed to secure victory against Dunbar Westside Reserves, who replied with two goals from Alan Clarke and one each from Darren Milne and Mark Elsworth to run out 4-2 winners.
