DANNY INVINCIBLE is happy to accept that he will not be the last-gasp hero this season.
The Aussie kept Town in Division Two with a stoppage time winner against Peterborough last year but he will not be called upon to provide such a miracle again.
Saturday's 1-0 win over Blackpool secured Second Division with five matches to spare.
The striker, who celebrated his 23rd birthday yesterday, said: "It is great knowing we won't have the butterflies in the stomach going into our last couple of games.
"The goal against Peterborough last year was fantastic but I'm sure the fans and the players would not have wanted to go through all that again."
Although he was not on target himself, the Aussie set up Alan Young for Town's winner against Blackpool.
He said: "I felt confident against Blackpool. They were tall at the back but not particularly quick.
"We played to our strengths and their weaknesses and got the result we deserved.
"I think we could have won three or four nil in the end.
But Invincible is not thinking in terms of mere survival as the season approaches its climax.
He said: "If you just focus on the fact you are safe then there is the danger that you might mentally switch off and think there is nothing left to play for.
"I certainly won't have that attitude going into the Stoke match and I don't think the other boys will have either.
"We need to go to Stoke and pass the ball around, get in behind their defence and cause problems.
"They are a big club going for promotion but we will not be afraid going there.
"We have team spirit and character.
"If we can keep the nucleus of the squad for next year I'm sure we can have a decent season."
Ticket prices for this afternoon's game at the Britannia Stadium are as follows: £17 (adults) and £10 (juniors and concessions).
