AS a regular cyclist of Swindon I am disgusted about the number of cars parked on the cycle paths and on double yellow lines.
For example on March 24 I happened to be cycling up Marlborough Road and there were at least 12 cars parked fully on the recently renewed cycle path.
As I was riding up the hill, I was on my correct side of the pavement and had to cycle around these cars but there were pedestrians walking the other way down the footpath so I had to keep stopping to get around these cars.
Then, as I continued my journey back along Goddard Avenue I decided to count the number of cars parked on the double yellow lines. There were 16 cars altogether, including a police car.
Surely the drivers of these cars aren't blind but they treat the lines as if they weren't there.
I wish there was something that could be done about this.
