A 78th minute strike robbed Swindon Ladies of a thrilling victory at home to Yeovil Town.

Town lead 4-3 with just 12 minutes remaining in this rollercoaster of a game but just couldn't hold on for all three points.

Fiona Baldwin gave Town the best possible start, netting her second in two games, on four minutes.

But after Town failed to extend their lead, Yeovil levelled when Laura Wensley fed Charlotte King to score.

Boosted by their equaliser Yeovil threatened to take the lead Town goalkeeper Clare Wheeler forced to pull off a fine save from King soon after.

And, on 29 minutes Yeovil did take the lead Chloe Spencer's corner finding King who tucked the ball home.

Holly Ashman and Michelle Rich both went close for Town before they levelled on the stroke of half-time..

Kim Reeves hit a long ball forward for Ashman to run on to but her shot came off the Yeovil crossbar and Rich followed up to head home the rebound.

Town started the second half well and Ashman soon tested Yeovil keeper Jodie Rice.

The home side went back in front after Ashman was brought down for a penalty on 56 minutes and Wheeler stepped up to score.

Two minutes later Town went further ahead Rich's long pass finding Ashman whose curling shot found the net.

But Yeovil were not finished and hit back on 68 minutes King's long lob dropping into the far corner.

Rich hit a 35 yard free kick goalwards after Katy Lemon had been fouled but the ball fell the wrong side of the Yeovil post.

King continued to threaten Town's defence and they got their reward on 78 minutes Lisa Farthing grabbing the telling goal.

Chippenham Ladies won their top-of-the-table clash with Clevedon in a five-goal thriller.

Chippenham's Lia Painter opened the scoring on 11 minutes from a cross by Kay Quantick.

Clevedon, however, levelled just four minutes later courtesy of forward Lori LcLaughlin.

But Chippenham regained the lead on 37 minutes again through a Quantick strike.

Chippenham added a third at the break with Seb Everson finishing off a fine run.

Tempers flared in the second half and the game became very physical which suited Clevedon.

And Clevedon pulled a goal back on 68 minutes McLaughlan grabbing her second.

Clevedon pushed right to the end to try and equalise but Chippenham held on for a fine win.
