HAVING moved to Swindon some 10 years ago and seen no improvement to the area during that time, I am absolutely disgusted to see that an increase of 15 per cent on my council tax has been demanded.

The new estate I live on and have done so for two-and-a-half years still has no road surface, local amenities, youth clubs and yet from day one full council taxes were expected and now more!

Even my daughter has had her school bus service revoked.

What on earth has the council been doing with the past money and how dare it ask for more money?

Disgraceful road conditions, lack of youth and sports centres, general decay of the overall infrastructure and the depressive appearance of the whole area obviously reflects the style and character of its unimaginative council members.

Incidentally, do they contract morons to design the traffic light systems and road markings? No wonder city status was denied.

However, I thought pantomime had come early when I saw their 30-year vision statement. This is indicative of Labour policy, speak promises, give nothing and ask for more.
