KEYNES Country Park was today holding its annual Great Lakes Family Day.
The open day, from 11am until 4pm, was due to feature dozens of activities, with a particular theme on 'have a go' sports, such as sailing, kayaking and canoeing.
There was also a chance to have a go on a jeep safari in the gravel pit adjacent to the park, at Spratsgate Lane in Shorncote, near Cirencester.
The local crafts and farmers markets were setting up stalls and displays by wildlife groups were planned.
Activities for children included face painting, a bouncy castle, fun fare rides and a storyteller.
The event is intended to provide local communities and businesses, sports clubs and environmental organisations the opportunity enjoy the Bank Holiday together.
