Two goals in extra time gave Purton a 3-1 victory in the final of the Hellenic Supplementary Cup against Old Woodstock Town in an exciting final at Abingdon.
After a goalless first half Woodstock took the lead through Andy Bunny after 65 minutes.
Time looked to be running out for the Wiltshire side but on 84 minutes Alan Webb scored to take the tie into extra time.
On 101 minutes Purton took the lead when Avenall was upended in the box and Steve Tucker scored from the spot.
Two minutes later it was 3-1 as Avenall bundled the ball over the line to ensure Purton's season ended on a high note.
Melksham Town virtually guaranteed themselves a top 10 finish in the Screwfix Premier Division after a Bank Holiday stroll against Yeovil Reserves.
Robbie Lardner's side completed their league programme on a high, running out 4-0 winners, with goals from Matty Bown (2), Matthew Messenger and Dean Ranger.
