POLICE have named the Trowbridge man who died in an alleged stabbing incident in the town in the early hours of Sunday as 32-year-old Paul Rodgers.
A 29-year-old man has been charged with murder and was due to appear at North Wiltshire magistrates' court in Chippenham today.
Officers were called to the Lavender Fields area of Trowbridge just after 3.30am after reports of an incident.
They found Mr Rodgers outside a house in Broadcloth Lane East. A post mortem was due to be conducted on the deceased at Bristol's Southmead Hospital.
Police spokesman Steve Coxhead said: "Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw or heard anything connected with this incident, including any dispute or argument in the areas of Broadcloth Lane and Magnolia Rise."
