I AGREE with the letter by Fiona Finnie (EA, May 3). I have heard from my son that the people in Abbey Meads have a reputation for being awkward.
My son and my three grandsons, two granddaughters, sister, and nephew have lived in Penhill since it was first built, and the children since they were born. It is a known fact all Penhill people look after each other. If food or money are a bit short I know they help each other.
Many times I have tried to persuade my son and my sister to move nearer to me. The answer is always 'Why? We're happy here.'
Good luck to all Penhill people. Don't worry what others think stay together.
