POLICE have released what could be a vital clue in a bid to find Highworth mum-of-four Linda Razzell.
It is seven weeks since 42-year-old Linda, of Pentylands, Highworth, vanished in Swindon on March 19, after parking her car in Alvescot Road, Old Walcot.
As well as releasing the last known picture of Linda, together with home video footage taken some four years ago, police are anxious to talk to a blonde man who caught a taxi outside Swindon Railway Station 10 days after Linda disappeared.
Det Chief Insp Paul Granger, the senior invest-igating officer, said: "The man caught a taxi between 3pm and 4pm and was taken to the Abbey Meads public house.
"He told the taxi driver that a friend of his saw Linda Razzell at one of the entrances to Queens Park. Officers appeal for this person to contact them urgently."
The last known picture taken of Linda, released today, is taken from CCTV film and shows her visiting a HSBC bank in Swindon the day before she disapp-eared.
In a repeated effort to put images of Linda before the public, police have also released home video footage of her with her children at a family gathering between four and five years ago.
The mum can clearly be seen sitting next to her youngest child Robin, then aged about six months.
Linda, a part-time learn-ing assistant at Swindon College, has not been since she dropped her children off at school in Highworth and then drove to work in Swindon, parking her red Ford Escort as usual in Alvescot Road.
There has been no trace of her since except the recovery of her mobile phone from an alley near where her car was found.
Linda's cousin Julie Westmore has travelled from Llanybydder in Wales where Linda's roots are to help look after Linda's children, Catherine, 14, Matthew, 12, Emma, nine, and Robin, five.
Mrs Westmore said noth-ing has been heard of Linda since she was last seen and the family is taking each day as it comes and keep hoping for the best.
Police have renewed their appeal for anyone to come forward with any inform-ation, no matter how trivial it may appear, concerning Linda.
It has been confirmed that she had no spare clothes with her, or her passport and has not made any transactions from her bank account.
Police have made a detailed examination of Linda's route to work from Old Walcot to Swindon College, which has included sweeps of Queen's Park in which a team of divers from the Avon and Somerset force searched ponds, lakes and drains.
There was also a reconstr-uction of Linda's walk to work, via Upham Road and Drove Road, carried out by a member of Swindon police's support staff fitting Linda's description, in which detectives were able to try to get clues by talking to people whose daily routine could have coinc-ided with the missing mum.
Concern has been voiced from members of Linda's family as well as her boy-friend Gregory Worrall, who made an emotional appeal for her to return, and her estranged husband Glyn, who said that he thought Linda did not wish to be found and could be as far afield as Wales or even France.
The Evening Advertiser helped the search by producing posters which have been distributed around the town.
Det Insp Paul Jennings said that 30 detectives are involved in the inquiry.
He said: "We are fairly astonished and quite dis-mayed that we have a sighting of Linda about 9.10am on that Tuesday, Swindon was busy and there were lots of people around, yet there has been no contact from Linda or no more confirmed sightings."
Linda is white, 5ft 2ins tall, slim, with dark, curly, shoulder length hair, which she was wearing in a clip when she was last seen.
She has blue eyes and a small scar on the bridge of her nose.
Anyone with inform-ation about Linda's whereabouts is asked to contact police on Swindon 528111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
