WITH reference to your article on grumpy farmers (Evening Advertiser, May 2), I would stress to all readers that farmers are the backbone of every nation.
Why? Because they produce the first need in life: food. Did I hear supermarkets? And where do they get food from? Farmers. Abuse the farmer and starve. They are all we need to keep life on this planet.
Support your farmers, they deserve it. They are the few, feeding the mass. Don't forget, ignore the farmer at your peril.
They are life itself. Food. Can you live without?
