DON REVIE once brought in a gipsy to lift the curse he believed Leeds United were burdened with.
It is hard not to think there is a grain of truth in the story judging by recent events.
It was pleasing to see justice finally done for the relatives of the two men murdered during Leeds' trip to Turkey in April 2000.
Football is important but it is not more important than life itself.
Leeds have also had to cope with the trial of Jonathan Woodgate and Lee Bowyer.
The club had hoped their off-the-field troubles were now over but an end-of-season dinner put paid to that.
The alleged racist comments made by comedian Stan Boardman were absolutely disgraceful but I cannot help feeling that the club scored a spectacular own goal by booking him in the first place.
He's not exactly what you would call politically correct!
Another shameful episode which Leeds United and football could have done without.
