AVERIL Reid, a member of the Solicitors' Family Law Association, has joined the matrimonial department of Salisbury solicitors Whitehead Vizard.
Miss Reid (26) graduated from Leicester University with a degree in law and sociology. She qualified last year.
She started work at the High Street firm last month as a staff solicitor and is in the process of moving to Salisbury from Guildford.
"I am really enjoying my new role - it's great," she said.
"Family law has always been a particular interest of mine and I am hoping to stay in that field, and with Whitehead Vizard for a long time."
Keith Austreng, head of family law at the firm, said: "Quality family work is being concentrated in fewer and fewer practices and as a market leader in that field, we feel that Averil's arrival will further strengthen our very strong department and reputation."
