FOOTBALL and netball captains Alex Fusco and Clare Griffin led their Malmesbury Primary School teammates to victory in an inter-schools tournament at Crudwell.
The tournament at Crudwell School involved youngsters from Oaksey, Lea and Garsdon, Crudwell and St Joseph's, as well as Malmesbury Primary.
Jeff Staton, Malmesbury Primary's headteacher, who coaches the football team said: "It's good to see so many schools competing and taking part, and, of course, it was nice to win."
He was joined by netball coaches Carolyn Rogers and Debbie Collison, and Judith Brown, who also looks after the football team.
The Malmesbury boys recorded a 4-0 victory over Lea and Garsdon in the battle for the trophy.
New Crudwell headteacher Lisa Tudor, who organised the tournament, presented the cups to the victorious Malmesbury teams.
