CLUB CRICKET: CORSHAM 2nds made it an opening day double on Saturday as they hammered Lansdown 2nds by ten wickets at Station Road.
Chasing a meagre target of 119, openers Rob Shillaker and Chris Bultitude each managed half centuries to guide the home side to victory without loss. Skipper Shillaker led the way with an unbeaten 65, while Bultitude scored 51 not out.
Earlier, Lansdown had won the toss and elected to bat on a typically flat Corsham wicket, but immediately came under pressure from the accurate medium pace bowling of Laycock and Rowe.
Only Hopkins and McLennan offered any real resistance for the beleaguered visitors, with Rowe topping the bowling figures after claiming four victims for 36.
