After two years' absence, Wootton Bassett Lions' May Fair returned to Lydiard Park on Monday.
"Two years ago we cancelled because of flooding, and last year because of foot and mouth restrictions," said Lions Safety Officer David Poulton.
Treasurer Sylvia Clark said the Lions can expect a profit of between £3,000 and £5,000.
After a parade of magnificent machines from Horizon Motorcycle Club, and a cavalcade of vintage vehicles, the Tricky Tykes dog display team performed in the main arena.
They were followed by the Motostunts International squad of motorcycles and jeeps, in a thrilling display.
The ATC marching band, and Devizes male majorettes the Major Wrecks completed the line-up.
The dog show proved very popular. The Peter Godfrey Trophy for Best in Show was awarded to Nancy, a cocker spaniel shown by Clive Taylor, of Swindon.
Best Puppy was Elsa, a Basset hound shown by Mrs F Meredith of Brightwater, Berkshire.
More than 120 people enjoyed helicopter rides.
A raffle offered two main prizes of helicopter flights for two, which were won by Susan Alexander and her ten-year-old son, Ben, and Sandra Cook and her fiance, Paul Hills.
As well as a craft tent, there were 30 trade stands and 20 charity stalls on the showground, and children's fairground rides.
"It's good to be back, and we hope to be here again next year," said a Lions' spokesman.
