YOUTH FOOTBALL: TROWBRIDGE Town Youth have won the under 14s Blue Division title in the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.
They beat their title rivals Castle Combe Colts 4-1 in the championship decider and last game of the season on Sunday.
Trowbridge got off to a good start, going 1-0 up early on in the game and despite valiant efforts from the Castle Combe defence, Trowbridge were 4-0 up at the break.
Castle Combe fought hard to get back in the game and were rewarded with a goal from Warren, but it was too little too late.
Mike Scott (2), Matthew Cooper and Michael Barnes scored for Trowbridge Town Youth.
Under 15s Red Division
SHAW and Whitley and Corsham Boys are still separated by just one point at the top of the table following wins for both this week.
Shaw top the table after a home win against Devizes Town Youth.
Shaw took a 3-1 lead at the break, with goals from Gary Higdon (2) and Tim Eatough. Higdon completed his hat-trick in the second half and with Geoff Moore also on target the game finished 5-1 to the home side.
Amesbury Juniors held the championship contenders Corsham Boys to a 0-0 score-line at half-time, then went 1-0 up early in the second half through Chris O'Conner.
Corsham were soon back level through Scott Lye. In the last two minutes Corsham clinched the three points with a second goal when Jonathan Beckham took a free kick, bending the ball round a defensive wall from 18 yards out.
Under 16s Blue Division
FC CHIPPENHAM completed their season as champions with a 4-3 at home against Bath Arsenal.
Robbie Ivermee (2), Lee Anteney and Simon Dance (penalty) scored for Chippenham, with Mark Wroe, Steven Pillinger and Dan Straffen replying for Bath.
Under 16s Red Division
IN a midweek floodlit game home side Amesbury Juniors played host to FC Chippenham 2nds.
The game started with a goal for Chippenham but Amesbury then drew level.
The game proceeded in this fashion, with Chippenham taking the lead and Amesbury drawing level and at the final whistle the game ended 3-3.
The game was played in good spirits and was hosted well by Amesbury. The Chippenham players paid special tribute to their manager Sue Goodall and coach Rob Smith for their support and hard work in what was their last season in the league.
Under 17s Subsidiary Cup
FC CHIPPENHAM finished their group one cup games top of the table following their away win against Westlea Wanderers.
Chippenham led 2-0 at the break, with Leigh Mallinson putting Westlea back in the game early in the second. Chippenham sealed their victory with a third goal towards the final whistle. Ryan Hunt, Ben Kalbskopf and Justin Park scored for Chippenham with the man-of-the-match honour going to Nick Johnston.
Shaw moved to the top of group three following their home win over Cricklade Youth.
Robbie Harris scored for Shaw midway through the first half, with Eddie Everett doubling their lead with just two minutes to go to see Shaw finish 2-0 winners.
