STAFF at Wiltshire police headquarters in Devizes got a taste of Caribbean cuisine last week when catering firm Eurest brought in their Wok at Work mobile taste-busting team.
Their special mobile unit, manned by highly qualified wok chefs, took up residence in the staff canteen last Monday to serve up a mouth-watering menu of West Indian delicacies such as Cuban jerk chicken wraps, Jamaican hot and spicy curried goat and Tobago pepper and bean medley served with rice and peas.
The Wok at Work service provides a range of authentic menus from which companies can make their preferred choice.
As well as West Indian dishes they include Kashmiri, Latino, Thai and Indonesian.
Bruce Toon, the general manager of Wok at Work, who first conceived the idea, said: "Wok at Work brings a whole new meaning to food services in staff restaurants and can complement existing offers.
"We have set out to provide a dramatic culinary experience which enables staff to sample the very best in wok cooking."
Staff who sampled the dishes cooked up by chef Lorenzo Richards said little they were too busy eating.
But their empty plates spoke volumes.
