AWARD-winning garden designer Liz Porteous gave Wiltshire people a sneak preview of a new creation she will be displaying at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show this summer.
Ms Porteous, of Yatesbury, near Calne, showed her garden, based on one couple's holiday experiences, at the Marlborough Gardeners' Fair last week.
"This small garden is a sanctuary for relaxation, contemplation and, most importantly, planning future travels," she said.
"It is easy maintenance with lots of interesting plants, including poppies, lavender and grasses.
"To emphasise the point, the lawn has been replaced with a putting green of artificial turf, complete with 18th hole, which is suspended over a reflective glass pool."
Ms Porteous, who has been a professional designer for seven years, built a scale model of it to show at Marlborough.
The real thing will be admired by hundreds of people in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace in June.
Ms Porteous's most recent award is a Royal Horticultural Society bronze medal at last year's Malvern Spring Garden Show.
