SWINDON Volunteers is bidding to capture the spirit of volunteering in Swindon on film.
The town's volunteer bureau has appealed for amateur photographers to send in their entries for a photographic competition to mark national volunteers week, June 7 to 13.
The deadline for entries is 9am on May 27 and up for grabs as first prize is a pair of tickets to the Rugby Premiership Final at Twickenham, donated by Zurich Financial Services.
There is a limit of four photographs per entry, they must have been taken in the last year and not have been previously published.
Other prizes are an official British Lions rugby shirt, £10 Jessops gift voucher and a camera case donated by T4 Cameras Ltd.
Swindon Volunteers manager Sarah Codd said: "We want to get some images of positive volunteering so people can see the sort of things which goes on.
"It's a good way to recognise the work that volunteers do and to let other people see it.
"We want to see positive images of people doing things for their community and other people."
Swindon Volunteers has 100 groups on its books and last year helped 400 people get involved in community work.
The results of the competition and the winning photo will be publicised in the Evening Advertiser.
Photos should be submitted to Swindon Volunteers Photographic Competition, 1 John Street, Swindon SN1 1RT.
Entrants should include their name, address and telephone number as well as the name of the voluntary organisation depicted.
