Hundreds of people flocked to Chippenham to watch the Viking weekend.
You could buy rings in Viking style, necklaces with beads on, wooden bows and arrows and wooden swords. but the real fun started at 8pm.
First there was a battle between the Vikings and Saxons.
There was a lot of charging and shouting from the Vikings but the Saxons won.
Then the mood was solemn as they carried a fallen Viking warrior on to his boat. Then as it got dark, burning arrows were fired at the boat that was on the river.
A few of the arrows missed but as soon as one arrow hit the boat the crowd started to cheer.
Then the boat was just left to burn. Everything that evening was done the way the Vikings would have done it.
It was a spectacular evening and I know I am not the only one who enjoyed it. I hope they return next year.
