SALISBURY'S new £6m indoor swimming pool is set to open in July, in time for the school summer holidays.
Delayed by more than six months because of last year's wet weather, followed by a shortage of building labour, the new Five Rivers leisure centre and swimming pool complex is in the final stages of completion.
This week, Salisbury district council announced that a package of fees and charges would be published next week, giving the public the opportunity to study what is on offer before July's opening.
The package reveals that charges are below fees operated by many other indoor pools, at £2.90 for an adult and £1.80 for a child.
The new pool will also offer a family ticket, priced at £10.
Deputy portfolio holder for community and housing Allan Peach said the district council's cabinet decided the adult charges would be kept below £3, which makes the cost of a swim "very competitive".
