SALISBURY'S Medieval Hall, in the Cathedral Close, hosted its first marriage ceremony last Wednesday.
Allison Ling and Michael Penny were married in the 13th century hall by Salisbury's superintendent registrar Celia Wood.
Although the room was only recently licensed for civil marriages, three more couples have already booked the hall as the venue for their wedding ceremonies later this year.
John Waddington, who runs the Medieval Hall, said: "I think it's a fantastic venue for getting married in.
"It's a lovely setting and it lends itself so well."
Allison (33) and Michael (40), both from Salisbury, followed a medieval theme throughout the service, with Allison wearing a stunning purple gown with flowing, medieval-style sleeves.
