Trowbridge struggled batting first, losing both openers with only 11 on the board. Trowbridge all-rounder Ady Parker (86) then came to the rescue with a stand of 101 with Andy Jefferies (33). They finally reaching 165, and on a good wicket for batting, that didn't look enough.
Hinton started badly, losing a wicket in the fourth over due to good bowling by Rutland. A stand of 45 between Carruthens and Anil rescued Hinton's innings. A bowling change by captain Simon Jefferies brought Rob Edginton to the limelight and he didn't disappoint with a fine bowling display, taking 4 for 41 in 13 overs. With the game finely balanced, Trowbridge brought Ali Hughes on.
He put on an excellent bowling display, taking 3-3 runs in three overs. With Hinton Charterhouse needing 11 runs to win, Liam Brown polished the tail off with Trowbridge winning by seven runs.
