GARDENERS in Melksham are being invited to open their prized plots to the public this summer to help raise money for a children's charity.
The Children's Society is asking residents to take part in their 'Melksham Open Gardens' event on July 21, where members of the public will pay to take a peek at what their fellow gardeners are getting up to.
The event welcomes gardens of every shape and size, for what will be its third year.
Regional organiser Linda Jones said: "In past years we have had gardens ranging from small cottage gardens and large Victorian gardens to modern suburban gardens.
"People take great pleasure in the day."
Mrs Jones added that all the ticket sales and publicity would be handled by the charity.
