The Tweenies visited Lacock on Monday, May 6, as the primary school held its first May fair for over 20 years.
Carol Sugg, the chairman of the Friends of Lacock Primary School, said: "We raised £860 which is more than we usually raise through the plant sale, which is what the fair had dwindled down to."
The event was revived following the arrival of headteacher Sue Worringham last year.
She led the procession, accompanied by music, which featured about 25 pupils in fancy dress, including sisters Jessica, seven, and three-year-old Elizabeth Simms, dressed as The Tweenies.
"There were about 50 people watching as we walked round, mainly tourists taking pictures," said Mrs Sugg.
The money raised will go to school funds.
