MELKSHAM Town secured a top 10 Premier Division finish as they bounced back from their humbling defeat at Westbury United with victory by the same scoreline at The Conigre on Monday.
All the goals came in the second half of the game, which was Yeovil's last in the Screwfix Direct League.
Matty Bown marked his return to the side from a head injury when he broke the deadlock directly from a corner 10 minutes after the interval.
Matty Messenger continued his recent good form in front of goal with the second on 65 minutes, before Bown doubled his tally with a fine finish 15 minutes from time.
But the hosts saved the best goal until last, Dean Ranger completing the rout with a superb volley.
Player-manager Robbie Lardner was pleased his side had ended a difficult 2001/02 campaign on a high.
He said: "They were young and inexperienced, but the first half was tight and we needed a bit of luck with the first two goals.
"There was a place in the league at stake, so we're pleased with the win. I gave the lads some flak after Friday and it was important we got some pride back.
"Everyone sets targets at the start of the season and we were hoping to finish a bit higher than we did in the end.
"But we have had a lot of injuries which have halted our climb up the table and that has made things awkward at times."
