Cirencester are hosting an Invitation Sevens Tournament on Saturday week, May 18.
Some 12 teams are due to take part in the event which has been sponsored by The White Lion Inn, The Bar Havana and Greasy Joe's.
The teams include Cirencester, Sporting Club Le Rheu from France, Cardiff University, The Royal Agricultural College and The Army (29th Regt).
The day will kick off at 12 noon at Cirencester's Whiteway ground.
All teams will compete in a first round where the winners will proceed to the main competition and all others will go through to the plate competition.
Trophies will be awarded to the winning teams in each competition and there will also be medals for the players and a player-of-the-tournament trophy.
There is an all-day bar and barbecue, and spectators are encouraged to come along and support.
More details can be found on the Cirencester RFC website at www.crfc.co.uk as they become available.
Entries are by invitation only but any teams wishing to join a 'reserve' list should email sevens@crfc.co.uk or call 07970 748715.
The club hold their annual end-of-season vets night this evening.
The dinner and presentations are preceded by a club versus veterans game, which kicks off at 6pm.
