DAREDEVIL workers at Chicago Rock Caf in Trowbridge are to 'zip slide' 300ft above the Avon Gorge to raise more than £1,000 for disabled people.
The 12 employees will brave the assault course-style activity, where the person is harnessed to and slides down an overhead wire, in aid of Leonard Cheshire.
One of the employees taking part, Kelly Dalziel, said: "I'm absolutely petrified. I haven't done anything like this before. Many of us don't know what to expect, but we are sure it will be a lot of fun."
She said that staff members at the restaurant, which opened in Trowbridge in March, are keen fundraisers and willing to put their nerves on the line to help raise cash.
She said: "We do want to get involved in the local community and help raise money for causes that we believe are very worthwhile."
Anyone interested in tackling the event, on Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26, can contact the charity on (01249) 750114.
