CHILDREN at Newtown Community Primary School have an adventure playground thanks to fundraising efforts by the school's parent and teacher association.
Friends of Newtown School raised £1,500 by holding school discos, a tea party, a Christmas bazaar and a ladies' night.
PTA member Sharon Rodford said: "The infant school never had a play area, so we wanted to raise money to get them something.
"It enhances the school generally and makes physical activity fun for the children."
Headteacher Sue Ivermee said: "The children think it's great and use it during playtime and lesson time as well."
Other donations came from Trowbridge Town Trust, Trowbridge Lions and Bowyers.
