RUGBY: Sheldon School, Chippenham, missed the chance to play at Twickenham on Saturday after bowing out of the Daily Telegraph Cup in the qualifying tournaments at Richmond and Staines.
Sheldon made a fine start in the under 12s event at Staines with wins in their first two matches.
But a draw and two defeats followed, meaning they failed to qualify from their group. Adam Douglas, head of physical education at Sheldon School, said: "The frustrating thing was that we beat the winners of the whole thing, Rednock School, last year."
