PROSPECT Hospice and homelessness charity Threshold Housing Link will share a total of nearly £42,000 raised by this year's Swindon Marriott Charity Ball.
The 14th ball, on Saturday, was attended by 200 people and proceeds topped the 2001 total by some £5,000.
Auctions for prizes including a signed England football shirt, which was snapped up by the Evening Advertiser, raised about £21,000 on the night. This is being matched pound for pound by Swindon based building society Nationwide.
Eva Duyndam, Swindon Marriott general manager, said: "It was an excellent night for two fine causes."
