CULTURE vultures from around Wiltshire and beyond converged at the Oasis to tuck into exotic food from around the world.
The first International Food Fair offered hungry residents the chance to try homemade food from 13 different countries. The event was organised by the Islamic Awareness and Education Project (IAEP) and was combined with an Islamic exhibition.
It was the brainchild of Saira Macguire and her husband, Russell.
He said: "With the food fair we are aiming to basically educate people about different cultures. The IAEP go around all the schools in Wiltshire providing information and religious education about Islam. We have people coming from as far as Trowbridge and Bristol."
And children were well-catered for too, with entertainments including competitions and a bouncy castle. Hair braiding and henna painting were among the other attractions.
All proceeds from food sales were given to charity.
