TEACHERS have long been convinced of the value of the Storysack scheme pioneered by former Westlea School head Neil Griffiths as a way of helping to teach children to read.
But even Mr Griffiths probably didn't envisage that the sacks with their books, support materials and props would introduce primary school pupils to the complexities of Shakespeare.
Greendown School should be congratulated for having come up with this idea.
Hopefully youngsters at Greendown's feeder schools, who'll be getting an introduction to Macbeth, will grow up to love the Bard.
