THE Women's Royal Voluntary Service requires volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels to the elderly in the Bath area.
Hilary Edwards of the WRVS said: "We want to take on new rounds and would be delighted to hear from anyone who has some free time to spare."
In conjunction with the commercial services department of Bath & North East Somerset, Council, the WRVS delivers 38,000 meals annually.
Ms Edwards said: "Not only do we deliver meals to our customers, but we also ensure that they are well. For instance, we carry out a 'Safe and Well' check on everyone we visit, so if a flat seems terribly cold, we'll contact social services."
Volunteers, men or women, are required to give up two hours weekly or fortnightly and travelling expenses are reimbursed."
