BY DAY Elizabeth Kirby is a full time carer, Sunday school teacher and nurse. But at night she transforms into a Swindon Supermum.
Caring Elizabeth, 51, was awarded the title in a contest which recognises extra special mums.
The competition, organised by Asda, Ariel and the NSPCC, invited customers of the supermarket to nominate mums whose strength patience or encouragement deserved special recognition.
Elizabeth's two daughters, Joanne and Caroline, nominated her for her hard work in supporting her family, and her community.
"My mother is kind, caring, totally selfless and willing to help anyone. I feel she deserves a thank you for her energy and effort she gives to us," Joanne said.
Elizabeth, who lives in Wanborough Road, Stratton St Margaret, said: "I feel very special and happy. I'm so proud that Joanne and Caroline would nominate me."
Each Asda store in the country will put forward a Supermum in the regional round of the competition.
Supermum of the Year will be chosen from six regional finalists and announced at a celebrity gala dinner at the Park Lane Hotel in London in early July.
