THE family of Evan Jones who was savagely beaten to death on a Bristol street, appealed on television last night for witnesses to come forward.
The former Chippenham lifeguard's two daughters, who still live in Chippenham, and had recently re-established contact with their father, are desperate to find out what happened in his last moments so they can get on with their lives.
"We are not looking for revenge, we just want to know what happened so we can put him to rest," said Mr Jones's 22-year-old daughter Naomi.
Despite a £5,000 reward for information, no witnesses have so far come forward and police do not know what happened in Mr Jones's final minutes just before 11pm on March 13.
"It's quite unbelievable that we have got witnesses right up until that point and then suddenly no one saw anything," Miss Jones added.
Miss Jones said she and her sister Hannah Barnett had lost touch with their father, but in the last two years they had begun to rebuild their relationship.
"It was all coming together," she said.
