GOATACRE advanced to round three of the National Village Knockout championship on Sunday with a comfortable eight-wicket win.
Peter Turner struck an early blow when he bowled Horn in his first over for nought, but the home side moved on to 70 for one, with Alistair Scott-Gall in commanding form.
Following the dismissal of Sealy, Scott-Gall was joined by his brother Hugo and moved the score to 116 before Scott Curwood dismissed the pair of them in one over.
Jif Wilkins took four wickets for 27 in his six overs and Turner took two wickets as the home side were all out for 160. Curwood followed up his three-wicket haul with an unbeaten 40 as Goatacre reached their target for the loss of just two wickets.
Robert Turner completed a fine weekend with a score of 93, before Adam Iles clinched victory in style with a six in the 26th over.
