YOUTH FOOTBALL: CORSHAM Boys finished their season as runners-up in the under 15s Red Division of the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League after their away game against Chippenham Town Rangers.
Corsham had most of the play in the first half and were 2-0 up at the break. Chippenham fought back in the second half, scoring three goals, but Corsham furthered their lead and finished 7-3 winners.
Chris Andrews (3), Warren Jones (2), Shane Mitchell and James Ford scored for Corsham, with Luke Gullick, Lewis Springett and Aaron Pearce scoring for Chippenham.
Under 15s Blue Division
THE race for the title is over, with Stratton Juniors taking the honours after earning six points in four days.
Thursday evening saw Stratton run out 2-0 winners over fellow contenders Bath Arsenal, with goals from Tyrone Stevens and Gary Toddington.
Sunday saw Stratton take on the remaining contenders FC Chippenham. Stratton took the lead in the first half with a flying header from Anthony Hogg and doubled their lead with a goal from Tyrone Stevens in the second half.
Under 13s
BATH Arsenal all but clinched the title when they returned from Trowbridge Town with all three points after goals from Ashley Lewis and Ben Thomson secured a 2-0 win.
Stratton Juniors continued their challenge for honours with a comprehensive 9-0 win at FC Chippenham as goals came from Joseph Mills (5), Carmello Galati (3) and Tim Hall.
The Trowbridge derby between Town and Rangers saw Tobias Stevenson give Town the advantage. However, complacency appeared to set in and goals from Nick Addey and Jason Povey gave the Wanderers the spoils.
Following their success against Trowbridge, Bath Arsenal came back to earth with a bump when Devizes grabbed the only goal through Nick Eastham.
Chippenham Town completed their season with a home game against Trowbridge Wanderers and finished with a win. Daniel Clements (2), Sam Pring (2), Jamie Fyall and Liam Wiggins scored for Chippenham, with Jason Povey hitting all four in reply as the hosts ran out 6-4 winners.
Under 11s
CASTLE Combe Colts White and Corsham Boys conjured up a goal feast and shared the points and six goals in an entertaining game.
Tommy O'Cain grabbed all three for the home side, with Liam Moar, Daniel Marshall and Daniel Purser replying.
FC Chippenham found Devizes Town too strong when they hosted their game. Goals came at regular intervals from Ricky Franklin (5), Dan Sloan (2), Pat Preece and Luke Hopper as the visitors ran out 9-0 winners.
Castle Combe Colts Black beat a gallant Chippenham Town Rangers 6-0, thanks to goals from Andrew Packwood (2), Josh Summers, Aaron Gleeves and Andrew Lawton.
Neil Clark's goal for Devizes Town was not enough to secure the points against Chippenham Town as David Brown replied with an hat-trick for a 3-1 success.
Warminster Highbury scored another eight, Sam Dufosee (2), Tom Hurd (2), James Lindsay (2), David Bowman and Josh Lewis (penalty), this time seeing off the challenge of Shaw and Whitley, who replied with three.
Trowbridge Town and Devizes Town shared six goals at Woodmarsh, Matthew Tiley and Neil Clark (2) scoring for Devizes.
Castle Combe Colts Black completed a successful few days with a 7-0 win against White Horse Leisure. Jonathan Ingram led the way with three goals and the others came from Jamie Bartlett, Josh Summers, Will Gale and Aaron Gleeves.
Westbury Youth scored twice, through Steve Smart and Lee Newman, in their home game with Corsham Boys, but the visitors grabbed two of their own with Daniel Marshall and Greg Chown finding the target.
Chippenham Town played at Bradford on Avon and secured a 2-1 win, thanks to two goals from Andrew Brown. These came in reply to a strike from Tom Giles that had given the home side a first half lead.
An Alex Jeary goal was not enough for Chippenham Town Rangers as they went down 9-1 at home to Melksham Park A.
Warminster Higbury completed their season with a comprehensive 13-0 defeat of Melksham Park B to confirm their position as champions. James Lindsay and Sam Dufossee each scored four goals, with Thomas Hurd (3) and David Bowman (2) completing the tally.
FC Chippenham finished as runners up following a 3-0 win at Westbury Youth thanks to goals from Craig Berry (2) and Ritchie Bolter.
Goals from Tom Taylor and John Evans were not enough for White Horse Leisure as they went down 8-2 at home to Castle Combe Colts Black.
