HIGHWORTH under 16s completed stage two of their four-pronged trophy assault with victory in the Oxford Mail Cup final.
Having already collected the league title, Highworth completed the double by beating rivals Northway Boys 2-1 after a tense period of extra time.
Nick Stanley had fired Highworth ahead in the fifth minute, but Northway pinched an equaliser after the break to force the additional period.
Highworth stole the cup deep into extra time in bizarre fashion.
Paddy Slattery's indirect free-kick was heading for goal and would have been ruled out, but for the Northway keeper getting a touch before the ball crossed the line.
With two trophies in the bag, Highworth now have their sights on the Combination Cup and the Lions Club national cup final which will be held at Ipswich's Portman Road next month.
