WESTLEA Housing Association tenants across north Wiltshire are being urged to book now for a special conference later this month which gives tenants the opportunity to discuss all aspects of housing.
Bookings need to be made by Monday for the conference on May 24.
The event at the new Rudloe Community Centre near Corsham, will include a presentation and discussion of the findings of the recent tenants' survey as well as a talk by the Wiltshire Racial Equality Council.
The independent postal survey of Westlea tenants, when 20 per cent of tenants were selected randomly and asked to fill in a questionnaire last year, found that eight in ten are satisfied with their homes, the association, staff service and repairs.
The survey also revealed that tenants most wanted to be consulted on homes, the surrounding neighbourhood and the quality of services .
"Westlea hopes tenants attending the conference will discuss these results and make their own recommendations for the future," said Helen Barbrook, the association's tenant services co-ordinator.
"Mayur Batt of the Wiltshire Racial Equality Council will also talk about race issues which housing associations need to consider."
Transport is available and lunch is provided. To reserve a place or find out more, contact the tenants' services department on (01249) 66163.
