JUNIOR children at St Katharine's Primary School in Savernake Forest are being taught the ropes for healthy living and spend ten minutes skipping every morning.
Head teacher Donni Blackwell said the daily skipping exercise was part of the school's bid to gain a Healthy School Award.
The 24 children take part in the daily skipping. Mrs Blackwell said "We spend about ten minutes every morning doing skipping.
"The idea is to teach the children how important exercise is to health."
The skipping is part of a British Heart Foundation scheme for school children called Jump Rope for Heart.
The school will also be holding a sponsored skipping event to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The children play a variety of sports including tag rugby and kwik cricket.
