I LIVE in Priory Street, Corsham and recently there has been a considerable increase in what may be described as yobbish behaviour, as always associated with alcohol.
Over the past two months a car roof was jumped on, bottles and food wrappers litter our gardens, we find smashed glasses on the pavement and, on Saturday last, someone opened their front door to find three youths urinating on their car.
The police are unable to act the incidents are not serious enough to warrant any major action, the councils of various descriptions can only act if noise levels reach certain sustained levels. So where does that leave the residents?
The question must be, who is responsible and I suppose we all are we have created a group of people with no self respect, no respect for others and no sense of decency. It seems we are powerless to do anything about this sort of behaviour, so does this mean that it now becomes the acceptable face of modern living.
