I HAVE just read the article in today's Evening Advertiser (May 13), about the Steam Museum and the European Museum of the Year awards.
Recently you have reported how the museum has been struggling financially.
I find it very disappointing that you have such a negative heading for the article, 'No prize for Steam'. If anyone bothers to read the article after such a gloomy title, they would read that Steam has actually been "specially commended" by the judges of the European Museum of the Year awards, beating the six UK entrants! So, Steam didn't win, but give credit where it's due, it was the best in the UK.
Isn't this a success?
