I CAN'T believe that Swindon Council are going to charge £855 to close Ermin Street for a Jubilee party. What a cheek.
Swindon Council tax was increased by 15 per cent one of the highest increases in the country. Why was no money put by for this special event?
Other councils like Portsmouth are being very generous. Why not Swindon?
This is a once in a lifetime occasion. Great for everyone especially for the children. I think the council should rethink. Well done to Carol Hunter and Julie Burrows after organising the event.
