POLICE were called in to break up a 10-strong family row, which threatened to turn into a brawl.
Officers from Melksham, Trowbridge and traffic units were called to the incident in Church Lane, Melksham, on Sunday in the usually peaceful neighbourhood scene.
Four officers responded to the initial 999 call but called for back-up to help control the fight.
Two people needed treatment for cuts, bruises and other minor injuries.
Five people, all aged between 30 and 50-years-old, were arrested and taken to Melksham police station for questioning.
The four men and one woman were released on police bail until June 12.
Officers will question five other people involved in the incident within the next week.
