DOROTHY House's annual plant sale took place in Winsley on Tuesday, May 14, and raised £2,700.

Organiser Alison Mayall said: "We had many interesting plants this year, including Canterbury Belles and black and white Day Lillies, which are very unusual."

There were eight nursery stalls and nine craft stalls at the sale.

The raffle prize of an aeroplane flight was won by Tim Dewey, whose late wife Pip used to run the sale.

The fundraising for Dorothy House Hospice continues with a glam house party at Randall's Nightclub, Twerton, on May 31.

It starts at 8pm with three live bands performing. The evening, compered by Bristol comedian Scott Detmar, will cost £4 in advance or £5 on the door.
